Meet the Heroes Behind Every Cramer Kid: See our Mid-Year Report

At Cramer Children's Advocacy Center, we spend a lot of time talking about heroes.
Not the kind that wear capes or fly through the sky, but the kind who show up when children need them most.
They're the donors who give generously. The volunteers and board members who share our mission. The businesses that sponsor events. The community members who plant pinwheel gardens, attend fundraisers, and speak up for child abuse prevention. They're the law enforcement officers, medical professionals, social workers, and advocates who work together every day to help children heal.
And since October, those heroes have made an incredible difference. Together, we hosted 21 outreach events and presentations, raising awareness about child abuse prevention, healing, and hope. Through those efforts, more than 194,000 people were reached with messages designed to educate, empower, and encourage others to be safe adults for children.
Our community also stepped up in remarkable ways to support direct services. Through fundraisers, sponsorships, partnerships, and individual giving, more than $173,000 in local support was raised to help provide critical services for children and families.
This year brought challenges as well. When funding for forensic medical exams was threatened, community partners responded quickly to ensure that children would continue to receive this essential service. Because of their generosity, children in crisis will continue to have access to compassionate, specialized medical care when they need it most.
There were many other bright spots to highlight: Child Abuse Prevention Month activities across our service area, the growth of Cramer's Young Advisory Circle, impactful fundraisers, community awareness campaigns, and the exciting transition to our new name, Cramer Children's Advocacy Center. While our name evolved, our mission remains the same: helping children find healing, justice, and hope.
As we look ahead to the second half of the year, we do so with tremendous gratitude.
Every child who walks through our doors deserves to feel safe, heard, and supported. Because of this community, that is exactly what is happening.
The impact outlined in our Mid-Year Gratitude Report belongs to all of us. Together, we're creating safer childhoods and brighter futures for children across Northwest Alabama.
Because of you, hundreds of children found someone ready to listen, believe them, and help them heal. Thank you for being a Cramer Kid Hero.
