Their expertise, leadership, and commitment help guide Cramer Children's Advocacy Center's mission to provide hope, healing, and justice to children who have experienced abuse.
Nathan Ryan
President, Board of Directors
Nathan Ryan is the founder of Singing River Law, LLC, where he focuses on civil litigation, business law, and estate planning. He earned his bachelor's degree from Rhodes College and his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. Throughout his career, he has been dedicated to serving individuals, families, and businesses across Northwest Alabama. A passionate advocate for child safety, Nathan previously served on the board of VOICES for Alabama's Children and was appointed to the Alabama Governor's Erin's Law Task Force, where he helped develop and implement child abuse prevention curriculum for schools across the state. As Board President, Nathan brings thoughtful leadership, legal expertise, and a steadfast commitment to Cramer's mission of providing hope, healing, and justice to children who have experienced abuse. His dedication helps ensure that every child and family who walks through our doors receives the support they need on their path to healing. Nathan and his wife, Danielle, live in the Shoals with their five children.
Kristy Vickery
Vice President, Board of Directors
Kristy Vickery is the Internal Auditor for First Metro Bank, where she helps promote sound financial stewardship and organizational integrity. She earned her degree in Economics from the University of North Alabama and approaches every role with a thoughtful, solutions-oriented mindset. Her passion for serving others extends beyond her professional career. Since 2021, Kristy has volunteered as a firefighter in Lauderdale County, responding to emergencies and assisting families during times of crisis. She also serves with the American Red Cross Disaster Action Team, providing support to individuals and families affected by home fires throughout the region. These experiences have strengthened her commitment to advocating for those facing difficult circumstances. As Vice President of the Board, Kristy is dedicated to helping ensure children who have experienced abuse receive the care, support, and hope they need to begin healing. Her compassion, resilience, and servant leadership make her an invaluable member of Cramer's leadership team and a champion for children and families across Northwest Alabama.
Tony Brewer
Treasurer, Board of Directors
Tony Brewer is the Senior Vice President and Lauderdale County President at First Metro Bank, bringing nearly 30 years of community banking experience to his profession and his service. Throughout his career, he has earned a reputation for leadership, integrity, and a strong dedication to the communities he serves. In addition to his role with Cramer, Tony is a past President of the Rotary Club and currently serves as Vice President of the Northwest Shoals Foundation Board. His extensive community involvement reflects his passion for strengthening the Shoals and supporting organizations that make a lasting impact. As Treasurer, Tony helps ensure Cramer remains a strong and sustainable resource for children and families across Northwest Alabama. He believes every child deserves to grow up in a safe, supportive environment where they can heal and thrive. Outside of work and volunteer service, Tony enjoys running, biking, swimming, golfing, and spending time with his wife, Bridgett.
Angela Hulsey
Secretary, Board of Directors
Angela Hulsey is an Assistant District Attorney for Lauderdale County, where she prosecutes major felony cases and works closely with law enforcement and community partners to hold offenders accountable. Throughout her career, she has dedicated more than 20 years to public service, including serving as an Assistant District Attorney in both Colbert and Morgan Counties. In 2009, Angela served as lead prosecutor on Alabama's first Chemical Endangerment of a Child Resulting in Death case. The successful prosecution led to changes in Alabama law that strengthened protections for infants exposed to drugs and other harmful substances before birth. As a member of the Lauderdale County Multi-Disciplinary Team and Secretary of Cramer's Board of Directors, Angela provides invaluable insight into the child protection process and helps advance the organization's mission of providing hope, healing, and justice to children who have experienced abuse. Her knowledge, leadership, and unwavering advocacy make her an essential member of Cramer's leadership team. A Shoals native and graduate of the University of North Alabama, Angela is a wife, mother of three, and a dedicated advocate for children and families throughout Northwest Alabama.
Jerry Groce
Board of Directors
Jerry Groce earned degrees in Business Administration and Social Work from the University of North Alabama and has dedicated his career to strengthening communities through public service. He served as Director of the Franklin County Department of Human Resources for 14 years before taking on a regional leadership role with Alabama Department of Human Resources. Today, he serves as Executive Director of Easterseals of Northwest Alabama. Throughout his career, Jerry has worked alongside children and families facing complex challenges, developing a deep understanding of the importance of child protection, family support, and community collaboration. His experience in social services and nonprofit leadership provides valuable insight that helps guide Cramer's mission. In addition to his professional career, Jerry has served in numerous leadership roles throughout the Shoals, including the Russellville City Council, Russellville City Board of Education, Children's Policy Councils, and several community and educational organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life in Northwest Alabama.
As a board member, Jerry's compassion, leadership, and unwavering commitment to children help ensure Cramer continues to provide hope, healing, and justice to children who have experienced abuse.
Dianne Pace
Board of Directors
Throughout her distinguished career, Dianne Pace has served as a classroom teacher, curriculum coordinator, college instructor, grant director, education specialist, trainer, author, and storyteller. She has played a significant role in advancing early childhood education across Alabama, serving on state advisory boards and contributing to the development of Alabama's First Class Pre-K standards and guidelines. A longtime champion of Cramer's mission, Dianne previously served as both Vice President and President of the Board of Directors before continuing her service as a board member. Her leadership, insight, and unwavering dedication have helped strengthen the organization and expand its impact on children and families throughout Northwest Alabama.
Even in retirement from full-time education, Dianne continues investing in future generations as a Child Development instructor, author, presenter, and storyteller. Her lifelong commitment to nurturing, protecting, and empowering children reflects the heart of Cramer's mission to provide hope, healing, and justice to children who have experienced abuse. Dianne's wisdom, compassion, and decades of service make her an invaluable member of Cramer's leadership and a passionate advocate for children in our community.
Dr. David Colvard
Board of Directors
A longtime pediatrician with Infants' and Children's Clinic, Dr. David Colvard dedicated his career to caring for children and supporting families throughout Northwest Alabama. He earned his undergraduate degree from Bethel College and his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is board certified in pediatrics. Throughout his career, Dr. Colvard developed a special interest in child abuse pediatrics, recognizing the vital role healthcare providers play in identifying abuse, supporting children, and working alongside multidisciplinary teams to protect vulnerable youth. His medical expertise and compassionate perspective provide invaluable guidance in advancing Cramer's mission. As a member of the Board of Directors, Dr. Colvard is committed to ensuring children who have experienced abuse have access to the care, advocacy, and support they need to heal. His decades of service and dedication to child well-being continue to strengthen Cramer's work throughout Northwest Alabama. Now retired from full-time practice, Dr. Colvard enjoys spending time with his five children and fifteen grandchildren, as well as camping and traveling.
Selwyn Jones
Board of Directors
After earning a degree in Microbiology from Auburn University, Selwyn began his career as a forensic scientist with the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences, where he ultimately served as Laboratory Director for the Florence Regional Laboratory. He later continued his service as a Deputy Sheriff, Mental Health Officer, and School Resource Officer at Deshler High School, building meaningful relationships with students while helping ensure their safety. Throughout his career, Selwyn has worked alongside law enforcement, educators, and community partners to support individuals during some of life's most difficult moments. His experience in forensic science, public safety, and school-based service gives him a deep understanding of the importance of a coordinated response to child abuse and the critical role Children's Advocacy Centers play in helping children heal. As a member of Cramer's Board of Directors, Selwyn is committed to ensuring children and families have access to the compassionate care, advocacy, and resources they need following abuse. His leadership and lifelong dedication to public service continue to strengthen Cramer's mission throughout Northwest Alabama. In retirement, Selwyn continues to serve others as a Certified Nursing Assistant while pursuing additional healthcare education. He also enjoys sharing his love of music as a bassoonist and saxophonist with several local musical organizations.
Greg Taylor
Board of Directors
Greg Taylor serves as the Shoals Community Bank President for CB&S Bank. Originally from Pensacola, Florida, Greg and his family moved to the Shoals in 2013 and quickly fell in love with the area and its strong sense of community. A graduate of the University of West Florida, Greg is currently attending the Graduate School of Banking at LSU. He is passionate about serving the Shoals and staying actively involved in organizations that make a difference. Greg currently serves as Chairman of the Board for the Shoals Chamber of Commerce, is a board member of the Cramer Children's Center, a deacon at Redeemer Church of the Shoals, and an active member of the Florence Rotary Club. He is also a graduate of Leadership Shoals, Class of 2016-2017. Serving on the board of Cramer Children's Center is especially meaningful to Greg because of the organization's mission to advocate for and support child victims of abuse. As a father, he believes every child deserves to feel safe, protected, and heard. He is honored to support an organization that provides critical services, resources, and hope to children and families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Outside of work and community involvement, Greg enjoys spending time with his wife and their three daughters. The Taylor family is proud to call the Shoals home and values the relationships and opportunities that make this community special.
Jennifer Bolton, LICSW-S, PIP

Jennifer currently serves as Director of Lauderdale County Department of Human Resources, where she leads a team dedicated to serving children and families throughout the community.
Her career in social work spans more than three decades and has been rooted in a commitment to helping vulnerable children and supporting families through challenging circumstances. After earning her Bachelor of Social Work from Freed-Hardeman University and her Master of Social Work from Alabama A&M University, Jennifer began her career working with children in a variety of settings, including the West Tennessee Children's Home, Franklin County Schools, Moulton Lawrence Counseling Center, Volunteers of America, North Alabama's Girls Home, and United Methodist Children's Home. In 2002, she began her career with the Alabama Department of Human Resources, serving in multiple roles before being appointed Director of Lauderdale County DHR in 2021. Throughout her career, Jennifer has gained a deep understanding of the importance of collaboration, advocacy, and providing children with the support they need to thrive. Her experience in child welfare and leadership brings invaluable perspective to Cramer's Board of Directors and strengthens the organization's work alongside community partners. Jennifer is honored to serve Cramer because of its commitment to protecting children and providing critical services to some of our community's most vulnerable individuals. Her passion for helping others and her dedication to the mission of child advocacy continue to make a meaningful impact throughout Northwest Alabama.
