Cramer Children’s Center is a nonprofit in Florence, Alabama, serving abused children since 1992. Our mission is to reduce trauma through excellence in child abuse response, prevention, and education.

Kim Bevis, MSW
Executive Director
Kim has served as Executive Director of Cramer Children’s Center since 2014, bringing decades of experience and a lifelong passion for protecting and supporting children. A licensed social worker, Kim holds a BSW from the University of North Alabama and an MSW from Alabama A&M University. Her career spans mental health services, public health, child welfare, and leadership roles across North Alabama, including serving as Executive Director of Brooks’ Place in Cullman and Regional Program Director for Therapeutic Programs, Inc.
A certified forensic interviewer and nationally recognized trainer, Kim is deeply involved in advancing best practices in child advocacy through professional leadership, training, and community collaboration. She has served in numerous leadership roles with the Alabama Network of Children’s Advocacy Centers and remains committed to continuous learning and innovation. Kim believes every child deserves a safe, nurturing environment—and under her leadership, Cramer Children’s Center continues to be a trusted source of hope and healing for children and families.

Chelsea Lawson
Business Development Director
Chelsea Lawson is the Business Development Director at Cramer Children’s Center, where she leads fundraising, community partnerships, public awareness efforts, and donor engagement. She also runs Cramer’s Young Advisory Circle, a program that connects young professionals to advocacy, service, and giving in support of children who have experienced abuse or violence. Previously, Chelsea spent six years at the Shoals Chamber of Commerce as Director of Marketing & Leadership Programs, leading Leadership Shoals and Youth Leadership Shoals, and in 2020 ran for Mayor of Muscle Shoals to champion economic development and quality-of-life initiatives.
Chelsea has served on the boards of One Place of the Shoals, Keep the Tennessee River Beautiful, and Keep the Shoals Beautiful, and is Co-Founder of the Shoals Poverty Simulation, which helps community leaders better understand the realities of poverty. A proud University of North Alabama alumna with a degree in Professional Writing and Marketing, she enjoys nature hikes, building LEGO creations, and encouraging others to use their voices to create meaningful change.

Melvin Allison
Office Manager
Melvin is the office manager with seventeen years of
experience. He has a primarily technical background, with
studies in diagnostic imaging, computer science, and electro-
optics. He is a former NASA employee where he worked in the
Astrionics laboratory. He is a lifelong resident of the shoals
area.

Elizabeth Harris, LMSW
Forensic Interviewer | Victim Advocate
Elizabeth joined Cramer Children’s Center in January 2023, serving as the Lead
Forensic Interviewer and Victim Advocate. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work
from the University of Alabama in 2017, followed by a Master of Social Work from
Salisbury University in Maryland in 2019. In 2021, she obtained her license as a Master
Social Worker. Elizabeth is certified in forensic interviewing through the National Child
Advocacy Center and is committed to fostering a safe, compassionate environment for
children to share their stories. She is honored to walk alongside them on their path to
healing, striving to make a meaningful difference in their lives with empathy and care. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys reading, spending time with her husband and children, and being outdoors.

Monica Haddock, LPC
Clinical Supervisor | Forensic Interviewer
Monica has been employed at the Cramer Children’s Center since 1997. She received
her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and sociology and her master’s degree in
counseling all from the University of North Alabama. She received training as a Forensic
Interviewer through the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and
through the National Children’s Advocacy Center and has been conducting forensic
interviews for over 27 years. Monica loves working with trauma victims and their families
and helping them on their healing journey. She is trained in multiple trauma treatment
models including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent-Child
Interaction Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. In her free
time, Monica enjoys spending time with family, traveling, outdoors, and martial arts.

Miranda Lorance, MA, LPC
Therapist | Andrea's Arbor (Russellville Office)
Miranda Lorance, MA, LPC began providing therapy, at Cramer Children’s
Center, in August of 2019. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in
Marketing and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of
North Alabama. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Miranda provides Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for children and their families. Miranda understands the initial counseling process can be anxiety inducing and intimidating for some clients. She finds it important to consider the sensitive nature and vulnerabilities surrounding the client throughout the counseling process. Miranda states “I am honored to be a part of our organization and the opportunity to come along side those, who are most vulnerable, in our communities.” Miranda enjoys spending time with her family, her horses, traveling and music.

Donna Bogus, CRNP
Contract Nurse Examiner
Mrs. Bogus earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Alabama in 1988, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2000. From 1990 to 2007, she honed her skills at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital, specializing in pediatrics, nursery care, and labor and delivery. Since 2007, she has been a dedicated member of the team at Cramer Children's Center, bringing her expertise and compassion to her work. Certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board, Mrs. Bogus plays a pivotal role in the center's mission to support children and families. She lives with her husband and cherishes her role as a mother to two daughters and a proud grandmother to her grandson.

Charlotte Cramer, FNP
Medical Director | Contract Nurse Examiner
Charlotte Cramer has been with the CAC since 2009, serving as a contract nurse
examiner, and as the Medical Director. She received her training as a pediatric Sexual
Assault Nurse Examiner, (SANE) at the Midwest Regional CAC in 2015, after attending
the basic Medical Training Academy in Huntsville in 2008. She holds a master’s in
nursing degree in maternal-infant nursing, and is a board-certified Family Nurse
Practitioner.
Charlotte retired in 2015, after 38 years, from teaching at the University of
North Alabama Anderson College of Nursing and Health Professions. She has
remained involved with the CAC, providing medical forensic exams for children who
have disclosed sexual abuse or are suspected of being sexually abused. She believes
that all children in these situations should be provided the opportunity for an exam, in
order to assure that the child is okay regardless of what happened. She discusses the
fact that what happened cannot be changed but the child can now move forward in the
healing process. This doesn’t change who they are. Charlotte considers it a privilege to
be a part of the wonderful team at the CAC.

Jami Finley, RN, FNE
Forensic Nurse Examiner
Jami Finley began her career in healthcare in 2014 as an Emergency Medical Technician, which sparked her deep passion for patient care. In 2018, she earned her Licensed Practical Nurse certification and served as a Nursing Manager at a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility for four years. Building on this foundation, Jami obtained her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Calhoun Community College in 2020. She then transitioned to a role as a Registered Nurse in a 40-bed emergency department. In 2024, she advanced her expertise further by joining Cramer Children's Center as a Forensic Nurse Examiner, where she is dedicated to giving every child a voice during their most challenging times.
Originally from Florence, Jami now resides in Cherokee with her husband, two children, and several beloved pets. In her free time, she enjoys discovering great restaurants, savoring good coffee, and spending quality time with her family.

Baylee Richardson, MSW
Victim Advocate
Baylee Richardson is a compassionate Victim Advocate where she supports children and families impacted by trauma. She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of North Alabama in December 2024, following her Bachelor of Social Work in 2023. Baylee completed both her undergraduate and graduate internships with Cramer Children’s Center, deepening her commitment to child advocacy and trauma-informed care. With experience in substance use services and a strong passion for child welfare, she is dedicated to ensuring every child has a voice and that families receive the support they need. Her volunteer experience includes work with the Dream Center, SPAN, the local animal shelter, and other local agencies. She is actively pursuing her LMSW licensure with long-term goals of becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and receiving training as a forensic interviewer. Outside of work, she enjoys life with her spouse and their two wonderful cats.
